Where we are

The School of Arts, Design and Architecture of Aalto University is located about 6 km north - east from downtown Helsinki, here in Finland. The Media Lab occupies parts of the 3rd and 4th floors at the School's main building.

How to get here?

Helsinki has an extensive system of biking lanes and routes. Combined with the fact that this country is quite flat, reaching us by pedalling is an interesting option.

The buses 71 and 68 departing from the Railway Station and the bus 74 departing from the Hakaniemi market square all stop near our University. In the bus, push the signal button when you see the Arabia factory on the right side of the road. Bus number 506 connects us to Viikki campus (University of Helsinki) and the School of Science and Technology (Aalto University) in Otaniemi campus, Espoo. Trams numbers 6 and 8 have their terminal close to the School, and number 6 travels via the Railway Station.

The taxi fare from the center of the city to the School is approximately 20 euros. Call 0100 0700 for taxi service.

Further information about public transport in Helsinki can be found from the Helsinki City Transport site. Beware of the HSL Journey Planner, the results are often useless.
