Academy of Finland postdoctoral researcher of Media Lab, Dr Antti Raike was nominated to coordinate the World Federation of Deaf (WFD) expert group on Universal Design (2009-2011). The WFD’s expert group works to improve voice, text and video technologies, to ensure deaf person’s access to communication technology, to incorporate the applications of universal design and technological innovations of new products, to work to improve accessibility of e-learning, and to foster policies on promoting visual-based applications.
In addition to the WFD Dr Raike has been invited to a Special Working Group of the Finnish Ministry of Education advancing the accessibility of art and culture.
