A lot of things will change in our organisation at the beginning of the year 2010.
Our brand remains. We’ll continue to be ‘Media Lab Helsinki’. This is still the home of two new media related MA degree programmes and a doctoral programme.
From 1st January we’ll belong to a greater unit: The Department of Media (Median laitos) joins us with the ex-department of Photography and ex-department of Graphic Design. The head of the new department is professor Philip Dean.
This new department is one of the five departments of the Aalto University (current abbrev. “Aalto”) School of Art and Design (was: University of Art and Design, no current abbreviation).
Our email addresses will change. The old @taik.fi will work for some time, but the new one will be @aalto.fi, for both staff and students. (EDIT: I was asked to add that there’s no official schedule on this yet, so just go on with @taik.fi until further notice)
Our phone numbers have changed already. The old ones will work for some time, but if you replace “756″ in the old number with “470″ for the new number, you should get through.
We will stay housed in the same building as before. However, we will have a new post office box. The address of the post box of the School of Art and Design is PL 31000, and the postal code is 00076 Aalto.
