Responsibilities: I am a designer and researcher who works as project leader in ARKI research group. I contribute to several of the externally funded projects runned by the Lab (TEKES and the EU); currently I am in charge of our contribution to the TEKES funded UDOI project and collaborate in the others. I work with our research group leader in making new project proposals. My responsibilities also include supervising students towards their MA thesis on those topics that are close to my expertise (If you need help with your MA work and think I can help get in contact with email. Sending the topic and an abstract helps). I also contribute to the MA program once in a while.
Professional interests: Design research, Co-design, Participation in design processes, New technologies and media to empower people, critical thinking. Lately I have been drowning a bit in "open innovation" and "user driven innovation" stuff.
Background: I have a BA in Industrial Design (Universidad Nacional de Colombia) and an MA in Product and Strategic Design (TAIK). Currently I am a Doctoral student in Media Lab Helsinki.
