"The ‘Guild of Bonsai Hackers’ is a collective who wish to raise environmental awareness of the burgeoning data-body and -entourage that we are all accumulating in our daily activities. We note the increasing number of surveillance systems in physical and digital spaces, increased concern about privacy, and that we are not aware of all our connections within these environments. We imagine a group of trustful persons, with a mission against large data-bodies, a seal of quality, and professional ethics to perform ‘data-pruning’. For ‘Clip Kino’ at Kirjasto 10, we share clips to spark a conversation and tips for ‘data-pruning’ (i.e. de-association, making selective cuts) to our wildly growing data-branches."
