AKVARIUM / AQUARIUM

Aquarium is a very slow and minimalistic interactive TV-drama which is targeted for sleepless night-time channel surfers. It's more of a tamagotchi style program experiment than a narrative TV-drama.
The main character, Ari, lives in a room in one TV channel, as if the channel was an aquarium in the viewer's home. Ari needs a friend, somebody to call him and tell him what to do. If nobody calls him, his already very minimalistic life becomes so dull that Ari falls into a coma. The actions that Ari knows and likes to do are eating, drinking, partying and getting sentimental.
Ari lives in every TV-set but is nobody's private property. All the viewers are responsible for taking care of Ari. An aim of the Aquarium experiment is to create a collective virtual pet that gives some feelings of unity to all the viewers of Aquarium.
