Milestone : Regional co-operation between the City of Tampere and the Municipality of Lempäälä for planning the Vuores area began in 1997.
Milestone : Masterplan was prepared in 2003.
Milestone : An architectural competition on the land-use of the centre of Vuores was launched in autumn 2003 and came to an end in December 2004.

Present

Milestone : An architectural competition for Vuores’ first residential area, Mäyränmäki, reached it’s conclusion in the end of year 2005. Detailed plan for the area will be finished in co-operation with the competition winners.
Milestone : Detailed plans for the Lahdespohja working area, the bridge over lake Särkijärvi and the arterial road were finished in 2006.

Future

Milestone : Building of the first residential area Mäyränmäki and the arterial road of Vuores will start in 2007 and be finished in 2009.
Milestone : Building of the centre of Vuores, where all the main public and private services shall locate, will start in 2008 and be finished in 2012.
Milestone : The national Housing Fare is planned to be arranged in Vuores in 2011.
Milestone : By 2015 homes for more than 13 000 inhabitants and business premises providing 3000-5000 jobs will have been built in the area.
