| Riitta has just come back to her apartment
from the breakfast with other service house inmates, and sits now on her
rest chair planning her schedule for today. Sulevi is standing next to
her.
She opens up her digital calendar, and sees that the Tanskanen couple is coming today noon to have a lunch with her, and at 6pm she has the stretching exercise downstairs. "Sulevi, what food did I serve to the Tanskanens last time?" Sulevi checks the date of the visit from the calendar, and displays the title message on the display. Then it checks the schedules of food storages that day, and shows the list of found information. Riitta sees which recipes were used and how much other food was taken off from the cabinet. "Oh yes, I baked them apple pie and served cookies. And Mirja does not drink coffee, I served her tea." |

Digital Calendar: Riitta has a collapsible organizer that she carries
on her left arm all the time. It has a 17x10cm display, which she uses
for showing other information, too. It is Sulevi’s job to transfer the
needed information to the display. Riitta prefers the arm display
over wall displays, because she likes to watch the texts as close as she
can.
Displaying messages on a display: Sulevi knows the position
of its master, and the positions of all the home devices. So, it can figure
out which display the master is able to see. It can also reserve (and free)
an area on the display to show the needed messages.
Information Fetching: All the devices have the possibility to show
the output on another display. Sulevi knows the commands of the devices,
so it interprets its master's command to the language of the target device,
and sends the request to the device. It also tells the device to show the
output on the preferred display. Riitta likes the feature that Sulevi shows
a title text on the screen when it is fetching information, because then
she knows that Sulevi has understood her correctly. Future enhancement:
Sulevi will filter the output as its master has told.
