Introduction to the Visualization of Nature in the 16th Century Science
This section deals with the investigations, by the
Europeans, of the flora of the American continent, during the 16th century.
Although most of the material presented refers specifically to the scientific investigations promoted by the Spanish crown,
there is also material pertaining the 1585 excursion by John White to the island of
Puerto Rico.
