This 'Heavy Stuff' music+video special event at Happi was initated by Antti Ranta, and was presented in collaboration with Katalyytti-clips. Be ready for non-stop heavy music and visuals!
The live bands were complemented inbetween by a programme of video-clips selected and hosted by Katalyytti-clip members Petrus Ahola, Atte Collan, Karim Degheidy, Omar Fasolah, Mikko Pänkäläinen, Antti Ranta (all FI).
The group arranged a curated screening, featuring heavy metal mashups and band idol videos. They cut across and into related audio-visual subcultures appreciated by youth (including adults) in Helsinki and internationally.

This easy-going session shares with those interested to learn more about Katalyytti-clips & what was found in the process. An audience is invited to watch (and discuss about) mashup/remix video-clips & flash animation loops selected and hosted by Katalyytti-clip members Petrus Ahola, Atte Collan, Karim Degheidy, Omar Fasolah, Samuel Moawad, Mikko Pänkäläinen, Antti Ranta (all FI), including favourites over the whole workshop process.
You are invited to be part of the action which creates reactions. Discussion in English, with Finnish support.
Katalyytti-clips was a workshop & screening series exploring online videos, peer-to-peer networks, copy and remix culture, and how they are changing digital audiovisual media production. The programme was lead and facilitated by artist-organiser Andrew Paterson.
This event is supported by a multi-cultural grant from Arts Council Finland.
