Eye to eye.mind to mind.heart to heart

There is a Scottish Traveller proverb which says that “a story should be told eye to eye, mind to mind, heart to heart” (Stanley Robertson, North-East Traveller & Storyteller).

Taking this proverb as a point of reference within a learning context, although value maybe credited to reading and the use of mixed media in conveying narrative, the primacy of a person-to-person learning relationship is noted for the following reasons:
