News Oct 13th 2006 - Couple of new Mala Luna songs leaked! Just a week before the release of the new Mala Luna EP Nina two of its songs, titled as Set It Straight and Highs & Lows, appearantly leaked to the Internet! So go and listen to the mentioned songs in the Music section! Sep 29th 2006 - The silence has ended! The Mala Luna camp has been awkwardly silent for the past few months when it comes to public appearances - but no need to worry 'cause there is a good reason to it! Now the band is ready to reveal it's latest secrets as it follows! Sep 29th 2006 - New mini album! Mala Luna is ready to release their second EP in October 18th of 2006. The EP, titled as Nina, contains five new Mala Luna songs from the recording session in OUBS studios, Espoo back in the beginning of June of 2006. The mini album was recorded, mixed and co-produced by long-time partner-in-crime Heikki Niiranen. The Nina EP was mixed and mastered in UIAH MLab Studios in August and September of 2006. The album cover is a painting by artist Mette Leiponen. Besides the new EP Mala Luna releases a two song single for promotional use. Also, two new songs will appear in the Music section in any minute now - so stay tuned! Sep 29th 2006 - On the road again! When releasing the new EP Mala Luna will also get back on tour! May 31th 2006 - Turkoosi Cancelled. The Mala Luna / Cold Cold Ground show scheduled to Sat June 3rd 2006 is unfortunately cancelled due non-band related reasons. Both bands are sorry for the situation but plans for a new date are already in production. May 31th 2006 - Finished! Mala Luna has just completed their studio session for their forthcoming follow-up to the recent Inti EP. The new material will be mixed by Heikki Niiranen during the summer of 2006. Also, stay tuned for the studio diary, which should be online any moment now. May 26th 2006 - Pickaboo! As some of you may already have heard, one way or another, there's a reason why Mala Luna has been rather quiet for the past few days: The band took over a recording studio on Wed May 24th to record a follow-up to the recent Inti EP! The band is recording five brand new songs at the moment and the session is completed in the end of May. The forthcoming mini album is scheduled to be released in early fall of 2006. Mala Luna has also promised to provide a studio diary from the session in any moment now. When online, the diary can be read in the Stories section - so stay tuned and find out, what's going on in the studio! May 26th 2006 - Impressing, says Toinen Vaihtoehto! Traditional Finnish alternative rock magazine Toinen Vaihtoehto supplies a review of Mala Luna's Inti EP in it's latest issue. The review written by Jari-Pekka Laitio-Ramone can be read in the Stories section. May 26th 2006 - Rush? asks Noise.fi Finnish music webzine Noise.fi reviewed Mala Luna's Inti EP and it can be read int the Stories section. May 5th 2006 - Turn on the radio! Mala Luna appears in Radio Noise's Äänipöytä radio show on Tuesday May the 9th. The show starts at 6 pm. (Finnish time) and it lasts for two hours. There'll be interviews of the band, Mala Luna's music and some of the band's all-time favorite tunes of other artists - so be sure to check it out! May 2nd 2006 - History always repeats! Mala Luna salutes Turkoosi and it's audience - the recent gig was great! Actually so great that the band decided to rearrange the whole thing! And more gigs are about to be announced as well. Jan 30th 2006 - Mala Luna's forthcoming EP finished! Mala Luna's forthcoming EP, titled as Inti, is now completely finished! The tracks were mixed and mastered by Heikki Niiranen during January of 2006 and the artwork of the cover was finished by Panu and Heikki during the weekend of 27th - 28th of January of 2006. The album was sent to pressing and it should be ready to be completed in couple of weeks, so stay tuned.
