The essential topics of the small but active team of Software Design participants have centered around self-organisation and evolution, the title being, thus, a little misleading (next year the title will change and the contents evolve!).

Topics

Kimmo Kari and Jari Tenhunen plan to use some of the concepts handled during the course in other works (an option that was planned already in the beginning). The others completed the following works:

Antti Raike: map of cinematographic concepts
Petri Saarikko: concepts for visual spaces and maps, including a map-like presentation of graphical items related to Timo Honkela's inauguration speech
Tomi Salminen: Physically modeled artificial life and computer games - a surviving combination? (Fysikaalisesti mallinnettu keinoelämä ja tietokonepelit - elinkelpoinen yhdistelmä?), a survey and presentation for games seminar of May 19, 1999.
