Co-produced with John Evans, with 5 multi-disciplinary students: 'Lydhør', which in Norwegian we understand to mean the condition of being 'attentive'. But what does this mean to you? How closely are you listening to others, and to what they are saying, doing, and experiencing? How is this attention affecting you and your experiences? The workshop was practice-based, and collaboratively explored between ourselves. It involved exercises and discussions which aim to bring into attention aspects of our everyday living that we wish to share among ourselves as a group, and also eventually re-present to an audience outside the group. We explored and discussed issues of shared experience, absent presence, and aesthetics of mobile media. We facilitated the activity using mobile presence, capture and network technologies. The project continued onwards with media design MA students at the Media Lab UIAH, Helsinki -Finland.

Co-produced with John Evans, with 10 leading local media artists and researchers: This was a master-class to share and communicate 2 years worth of experience co-developing and using Aware, a design tool and a production environment. The focus is upon relations between objective and subjective contextual information, such as proximity, location, temporality, theme and event. Important strategies are: working from the lowest common technological denominator to maintain flexibility and inclusiveness; open-source solutions within propriety networks; human relationships and experience; context and situatedness. The 3 day workshop involved paper-based exercises, the telling of experience stories, a little hands-on devices, and much discussion. We collaboratively explored: context and its relation to meaning-making, re-presentations, technological systems, workshop design and socially-engaged art practices. Strategic discussion included working with mobile networks in the Australian techno-economic context. The master-class was a result of the generous invite by hosts dLux Centre for Media Arts, While in Australia, further presentations/consultations were made for the Information Environments department of University of Queensland, Brisbane, and School of Applied Communication at RMIT, Melbourne.
