>>> Export – comparing design practices across disciplines
Keywords: design practices, user orientation, professional identity,
mediated design, communication, prototyping

The aim of our project is to find out about the design process and how the
user is defined across the various design disciplines – architecture,
industrial and media design. The first part of the project was carried out
in May 2000 through a series of interviews with design professionals. Of
critical interest was the topic of what is communicated, how and by whom
in the course of a design process. Relating to this, important questions
related to prorotyping practices, media strategy and organizational
structure were also dealt with.
