| Now Eppu is ready to go, and while putting
his coat and shoes on, he checks the day's schedule
from the hall display. "Oh yes, I have a date with Venla today! That's
great!" he thinks and goes to his car.
Tessu will now take care that the door gets locked, and starts the vacuum cleaner that it has as an option. It has the whole day to clean the floor from dust. |

Schedule check: Eppu has programmed Tessu so that every time he goes
to the hall, Tessu shows the schedule of the day on the hall display. Tessu
knows when Eppu enters the hall either by itself or by checking the home
event table. It fetches the schedule from Eppu's digital calendar.
Door control: Doors are a part of the home alarm system, and
can be controlled digitally. If the alarm system is not smart enought,
Tessu can be used for controlling it remotely. The alarm system recognizes
when it is Eppu who tries to come in, and either the alarm system itself
or Tessu unlocks and opens the door automatically. After Eppu has passed
the door, the door will be closed and locked automatically (either by the
alarm system, or by Tessu).
Vacuum cleaner: It is possible to buy extra pieces to the electronic
pet as options. A vacuum cleaner could be one of these, because the pet
can move around the apartment and dodge objects already.
Cleaning the floor: It is not needed to vacuum clean the house
quickly, but Tessu can take its time to double-check that objects are not
hit or sucked into the vacuum by accident. This way, the requirements and
the price are not so high for a vacuum cleaner option.
