Project Group

Sankari TV pilot has been created by Minna Nurminen and Petri Kola as the final thesis work for University of Art and Design Helsinki (UIAH). UIAH and Media Centre Lume have significantly supported this project. Sankari has also received grants for TV pilot production from Media Lab UIAH, YLE, AVEK and The Finnish Cultural Foundation. During spring 2004, Nurminen and Kola have founded a company called Sankari Tuotanto to develop the TV pilot into a prime time television format.

Nurminen ja Kola have worked closely together creating experimental and interactive works for video for years. They both contribute to concept planning and script writing. From the beginning Tove Idström has been a member of the script writing team as a dramaturgist.

In addition to studies in Media Lab, Petri Kola has studied minor subject studies in the Theatre Academy. Minna Nurminen has additional studies in film editing in the Film Department of UIAH. They both have also studied in Helsinki University of Technology. Because of the broad educational backgrounds of the creators and their fields of interest Sankari is a truly versatile project where improvisational theatre and traditional television narration are brought together. Petri Kola's programming skills have made working with interactive prototypes and hands-on experiments possible.

Latest additions to the members of the project group are producer Petteri Pasanen and Sanna Marttila, who works as the production manager.
