Hospital garments 1920-1990

25 chromogenic prints
year of production: 1998
"Hospital garments 1920-90" sets out to investigate a collection of garments used
in Finnish mental wards between 1920-1990 now stored in the Tammiharju hospital museum.
By having myself photographed dressed in these clothes I was interested in tracing the
contours and the space of that institutional body they participated in producing. Within each
garment I tried to locate the most natural position for resting.
