This coin was minted by Cnut the Great (1016-35) in Exeter, southwest England. Cnut was a Danish Viking king who ruled over England, too. Some 300 coins of his have been found in Finland. On this type of coin, the king is shown with a sceptre in his hand and a pointed helmet in his head.
