Notes:
The first major project on technologies-in-use in which I was involved focussed on the work of ground operations at a local airport. This turned out to be a particularly good site, for two reasons:
1. The multiplicity and heterogeneity of the site’s information and communications technologies;
2. A division of labor involving both face to face and technology-mediated cooperative work.
