Heidi Tikka is a practicing media artist and a researcher. In her art and her
research she has inquired into affective technologies, arguing for the social
and cultural situatedness of an affective experience and its technological
mediations. She is currently a doctorate candidate at the UIAH Media Lab,
where she has also been teaching media art and media culture since 1997,
of which 2001-2002 as the acting professor in multimedia and communication.
