NEON PONG

September 2009, Helsinki @ Media Lab Helsinki

Overview | Process | Exhibition

Pong is an interactive sound installation that explores that use of more intuitive yet physical interfaces. The viewers have to "perform" with their cell phones to the screen that triggers a musical response.

This installation was made in collaboration with Roberto Pugliese, a sound artist from Dublin.

Media Lab Party @ Sampo Hall, Helsinki, September 2008

How it Works:

The bright light from the cell phone is tracked in processing and is the collisions with the moving ball is also sensed. The data about the ball and box interactions are sent to isadora through open sound control, that generates the visual and sound responses.
